This is a trial run for Sensualuxiously Lux. A kind' ov' mock post to see if everything will fit and purr snuggly within the pages of this post.
I was thinking about how I over indulge about my reflections in Significantly Luxie...and yet there is so much more I can share...something far beyond myself. The world I live in is colorful too...there is just too much to see...too much to share with those who would care to take a peak. And so..here I am doing this, hoping that in some simple way I can show my appreciation for the way life has been kind to me.
You see, I live in a country that is beautiful. Of course, each part of this world is beautiful in its own way so when i say "beautiful" what I would simply like to express 1s that it has its own beauty quite unlike any other. The sad thing is mostly, those who live here, are either disgruntled or disillusioned or quite frankly, would rather be somewhere else...Anywhere else for that matter. No, it doesn't have anything to do with the heat...It isn't really that scorching. No, it isn't because of the rain either. The rains are soothing and relaxing and cools the air we breath. No, it isn't even because of the traffic. I've heard some say it is far far worse in China. People here...those who have always been here, would really rather be somewhere else because of the government.
Our government is corrupt. I do not know how to word it more simply than what it is. We have an evil draconian system of getting things done being run by thieves and liars who will think next to nothing of robbing its own country to death. This is very very sad. Tsk! tsk! I have no idea how people like these...supposed leaders can sleep at night.
Sometimes..things seem hopeless. Doors shut close. Is there no hope for a country raped and plundered for generations since the time of the Spanish Conquistadores?
Yes, the galleons have left far long ago..the arms have been laid to rest and treaties have been signed..but alas'..we Filipinos are not free. We are whipped and caged and gagged by the oligarchic powers that be who have sworn to keep the love of country before their love for money. Liars they are.
And so this blog..the beautiful sights, the sweet flowering scent of our land with its passionate colors and wonderful display of itself is a protest in spirit. All is not lost.
The recent spade of scandals that have rocked this government has brought with it the rising power of the Filipino. We, who once stalked the streets to topple the Marcos regime from its high stool will haunt the streets once again if need be. But it is more than raising fists and chanting ballads this time. No.
We demand restitution. Fix what is broken. A demand that you mop the floor Madam President and throw the garbage out...It is stinking. Afterwards you may pack your things and hand over the keys of governing back to the people. You have betrayed our confidence. You have lost our trust.
